(OS/390 and z/OS) operating system. It manages and controls syncpoint
and rollback processing across MVS address spaces and consists of three
components or service types: -
IBM's
External Security Manager (ESM)
software product, which controls access to resources in
a mainframe environment. It can be used by products such as
CICS
to perform authorisation checking before access to resources
is permitted.
